Jillian, our lead videographer and editor has over 12 years of experience
and will personally work with you on a one-on-one basis to create and capture your fantasy event.

Jillians favorite part of an event is usually the pre-ceremony time she spends with clients. As a woman, she knows how important it is to have your videographer unobtrusively blend in during this emotional, important, joyful & precious time.

Having a woman videographer at the function puts the bride at complete ease throughout the event, especially during  pre-ceremony time while she is dressing, spending time with her attendants, close friends and family. A woman videographer is a comfort to & relaxes the bride. Jillian can capture expressions of tenderness and touching moments during this exciting and highly anticipated time.

In the final cut after the editing process she sees a marked difference with images from a woman videographer. "With me, clients seem to let their spontaneous emotions & personality shine throughout their day."

Jillian, uses a wide range of editing tools to produce your finished video project. She edits digitally, which means all footage is digitally shot, digitally imported into the editing computer, digitally edited, and when finished, digitally transferred to DVD. My editing style can range from high tech and glitzy to photo journalistic and demure. It all depends on the mood of the piece and the personalities of the client.

Her camera of choice is a professional digital broadcast quality SONY DSR series DVCAM camera, not consumer DV and I shoot from the shoulder. In 2007, professional broadcast quality DVCAM cameras like the SONY DSR-390, currently range in cost from $10,500.00 to $100,000 due to their high specifications and fantastically superior picture and sound qualities.

Currently, a small handheld DV camera can not produce the level of image, resolution and sound quality of a full sized digital broadcast quality camera and the new high defenition handheld camera require huge amounts of light. Professional DVCAM cameras are bigger because they have larger CCD Imaging components thus needing less light and can produce a much sharper and crisper image at an intimate or low light setting. The end result is bright and vibrant images without hot and obtrusive camera lights. In closing, for all my still picture projection show montages and videotaping projects, "I put forth great care and spend a lot of post production time completing your work. "Your finished video is a visual statement of you, as well as a testament to you, our client."

A professional 3-chip digital broadcast quality simply put, is a camera using separate
computer chips for imaging of each of the 3 primary colors, red, green & blue combining  image & sound processing circuitry for quality that far exceeds consumer DVvideo camcorder specifications. They typically cost from $10,500.00 to $100,000.00, can hold 3 hours or more of uninterrupted recording media and need less than a candle of light for vibrant color. Your event is shot from the shoulder, news crew style. I will personally work with you on a one-on-one basis to create and capture your fantasy event.

Before we begin to discuss Non Linear Editing (NLE), let's go over what good old fashioned linear editing is all about. This is when you copy only the "good" parts of a tape over to a new tape, from video deck to video deck. This is how video was edited without the computer. Editing on a continuous line of tape, hence the name linear editing.

Non Linear Editing is editing on a computer using software and is timeline based. We start by bring your video footage into the computer and onto the hard drive, then chopping the footage up, selecting the in and out points of every scene.

Since everything is digital, we can get frame accurate edit points down to 1/30th of a second! Each scene is then placed on the timeline. We can lay down more than one track of video and audio onto the timeline up to 99 tracks. When we want to set your video to music, we start by placing the captured sound file onto the timeline. Next we select and arrange all of your video scenes. We then can move scenes and clips around in the video by dragging them with our mouse. Transitional effects are added and those effects are only limited by our imagination, the computer power, and your budget to support more editing time. On average between 25 and 40 hours are spent editing each project. At this point VHS tape copies can be made. The process is repeated for each subsequent 2 hour block of video.
